Understand your publication's billing
Use Billing to inspect what Wallkit has billed your publication for its service. These invoices and their payment history are separate from readers' subscription transactions.
You need Admin access to the selected publication. If Billing is unavailable, ask the publication owner to confirm your access and billing setup.
Find an invoice
- Confirm the publication, then open Billing.
- In Invoices, use Select Period to choose an available month.
- Read the returned invoice cards. Read the supplied line descriptions to understand the billed items.
- Compare the invoice number, line prices, currency and Total. Read a due date or Paid up indication when supplied.
- If Invoice PDF is available, use it to view the invoice document for that card.
For fictional City Journal, start with its invoice number and line descriptions to identify the service bill. Do not search this page for Alex's reader payment; that belongs in Transactions.
Read the card
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invoice number | Identifies the service invoice. It is separate from a reader transaction's internal number. |
| Description and Price | The supplied invoice line descriptions and formatted amounts. Inspect the actual lines rather than assuming a standard tariff or proration formula. |
| Total | The invoice's supplied total and currency, rather than a sum of reader purchases. |
| Payment due date | Shown for an unpaid invoice when a due date is supplied. |
| Paid up | The invoice's stored paid indication. It does not establish reader access or bank settlement. |
| Invoice PDF | A link appears when the invoice supplies a PDF URL. Availability can vary by invoice. |
The ordinary Billing page shows the publication's available finalized invoices for its configured billing mode. It does not promise an invoice for every month, and it does not display every status or period label that other invoice screens may use. An absent invoice is not proof that no charge is due.
Read Transaction history separately
Transaction history on this page contains payments associated with the publication's service invoices. It shows the invoice #, Amount, Date & time and recorded Status. These are not reader purchase records.
The month selector changes the invoice cards; it does not filter this history to that month. Do not assume the visible history is a complete, pageable ledger or that its dates establish settlement. Compare the invoice number and currency before associating a history row with a card.
For a surprising bill, identify the publication, selected invoice month, invoice number and actual line descriptions first. Share those details with the person responsible for the publication's billing. Payment, card and billing-contact controls may also appear on this page; this guide covers reading the records.
