Content analytics
Use content activity reports to inspect recorded access outcomes. A content catalogue, an access decision and a completed reading session describe different things.
Choose your task
| Need | Start here |
|---|---|
| Locate content tables and other activity summaries | Find content activity reports |
| Interpret Views, Unique and access percentages | Understand content and paywall metrics |
| Explain a missing row or an unexpected total | Investigate unexpected content figures |
For City Journal, a recorded decision allowing access to an article does not establish that the reader finished it. A denied decision does not establish that a paywall was displayed successfully.
Match the report to the question
Content Conversion, when available in your publication's Admin version and configuration, presents stored activity aggregates for content items. Dashboard has separate period-based summaries, and an Audience reader record has its own activity measures. Their counting rules and time boundaries differ.
Use Content to inspect the catalogue and current classifications. Use Read payment reports for financial figures. Activity counts and content-associated estimates do not establish cash collected or prove that an article caused a subscription purchase.
