Plans, subscriptions and access rules

Start with what readers should be able to read. A Plan carries the access rules; subscriptions under that Plan provide choices such as monthly or annual access.

For example, City Journal wants a reporting Plan with two subscriptions: monthly and annual. Both subscriptions use the same Plan's access rules. A reader's membership connects that reader to the subscription they obtain.

Work through the setup

  1. Understand content access rules — Decide which content belongs in the Plan and how its classification supports that choice.
  2. Create a Plan — Create the place for those rules and subscription choices.
  3. Add subscriptions to a Plan — Configure City Journal's monthly and annual options, then check the saved settings.
